Join us 6 September at The Garden Cinema as we travel back to the 1980s for a specially-curated double bill from the Golden Age of Hong Kong cinema. First up is a restoration of Tiger on the Beat, which was a massive box office hit on its original release in 1988, a wild comedy thriller from martial arts master Lau Kar-Leung, headlined by Chow Yun-Fat and Conan Lee as mismatched cops trying to solve the murder of a drug dealer. Following this we’ve got the UK Premiere of the stunning new M+ 4K restoration of Patrick Tam’s New Wave classic Love Massacre, a boldly inventive and entertaining mix of romance, thriller and slasher elements starring Brigitte Lin.
