Focus Hong Kong is excited to be returning to the Glasgow Film Theatre in December 2024, building on our highly successful event last year and continuing our aim of bringing Hong Kong cinema to Scotland. We’re excited to present a diverse range of new and classic films, opening with the UK Premiere of Obedience, the latest work from award-winning independent documentarian Wong Siu-Pong, followed by Ray Yeung’s queer drama All Shall be Well, one of the most acclaimed Hong Kong films of recent years, and the UK Premiere of the stunning new 4K restoration of Ann Hui’s beloved 2002 classic July Rhapsody, starring Jacky Cheung and the immortal Anita Mui in her final role.
