One of the most acclaimed Hong Kong films of recent years, Ray Yeung’s follow-up to the award-winning Suk Suk is a deeply-felt character drama exploring the lives of older queer characters in Hong Kong and tackling a range of social issues in the changing city. Angie and Pat are the beloved heart of their family and group of older lesbian friends. However, after Pat’s death Angie is sidelined by Pat’s relatives, who hold legal rights to her estate that Angie cannot access. As Angie mourns the loss of her soulmate, she must also find the strength to keep fighting for the acknowledgement of their relationship.
