Celebrate the Year of the Snake with Focus Hong Kong
Join Focus Hong Kong in January and bring in the Year of the Snake with a specially-curated selection of new and restored classic films. This year’s CNY programme includes the UK Premieres of moving new drama True Love, for Once in My Life, the acclaimed directorial debut of art director and scriptwriter Siu Koon-ho, produced by Fruit Chan, and special screenings of Ray Yeung’s All Shall be Well, hailed as one of the best Hong Kong films of recent years, and the stunning new 4K restoration of Tsui Hark’s beloved all-star 1984 classic Shanghai Blues. We also present the London Premiere of the new 4K restoration of Ann Hui’s award-winning 2002 classic July Rhapsody at The Garden Cinema, followed by a limited run of screenings.
