In Broad Daylight

A special screening of one of the most acclaimed Hong Kong films of the last year, a shocking exposé of abuse in care homes

In Broad Daylight is Hong Kong’s answer to Spotlight, and one of the most acclaimed films of the last year, with a long list of awards and nominations. Drawing upon shocking real-life cases involving care homes, the film follows a dogged journalist whose investigation reveals alarming levels of rampant abuse and corruption, coming at great personal cost. Powerful and moving, the film questions whether journalism has lost its ability to unearth the truth and lays bare the heavy responsibility which comes with this, though above all is an important call for compassion and respect.
